Bambird Scramble is Coming to Ponte Vedra Beach

A flexible, social mahjong league designed to help you play more, meet more people, and be part of something bigger.

We’re bringing something special to Northeast Florida.

Mahjong in the Sun is officially partnering with Mahj in the City to launch the Bambird Scramble in Ponte Vedra Beach—joining 30 cities across the country growing the next wave of modern mahjong communities.

This is more than a league.
It’s a way to connect, play, and build your mahj circle right here in our local community.

As Mahjong in the Sun continues to grow across Ponte Vedra, Jacksonville, and St. Augustine, we’re excited to lead the way in bringing this experience to Northeast Florida.

What is the Bambird Scramble?

The Bambird Scramble is a community-driven mahjong ladder league that blends smart technology with real-life play.

It connects players online and brings them together in person to play, compete, and make new mahj friends.

Think of it as your Mahj matchmaker—helping you find games, build confidence, and stay consistently playing.

How It Works

  1. Sign Up
    Join the Ponte Vedra Beach Scramble and select your level.

  2. Get Matched
    You’ll be paired with other local players through the Scramble platform.

  3. Schedule Your Matches
    Play when and where it works for you.

  4. Play + Submit Scores
    Enjoy the game and log your results through the portal.

  5. Climb the Ladder
    Track your progress throughout the season and meet more players along the way.

Season Format:

  • 4 seasons per year

  • Each season = 9 weeks

For Nocatee residents, our Lazy River Mahj meetups at Splash Waterpark are the perfect midweek escape—join us Tuesdays from 11:30 AM–2 PM next to the Lazy River for a relaxed, social setting to play, connect, and enjoy mahj poolside.
