Mahjong 101 Experience | $60
New to mahjong? This experience is for you! Our Mahjong in the Sun team will walk you through the basics of American Mahjong, from understanding the tiles and Charleston to learning how to read the card and play the game. You’ll finish the evening with guided gameplay and the confidence to keep playing!
No experience is necessary, and everything you need to play will be provided.
Ready to learn mahjong? Join Mahjong in the Sun for a fun, social Mahjong 101 Experience at The Gifted Boutique on Wednesday, July 22 from 5–8 PM!
During this beginner-friendly experience, the Mahjong in the Sun team will introduce you to the basics of American Mahjong, including the tiles, the Charleston, how to read the NMJL card, and the flow of the game. Then, you’ll put it all together with guided play and hands-on support from our team.
No prior experience is needed, and everything you need to play will be provided.
Your $60 ticket includes the complete Mahjong 101 lesson experience, Sip + Shop at The Gifted Boutique, a special goody bag, and one raffle entry for prizes.

Open Play Mahjong | $25
Already know how to play? Grab your mahj friends—or come meet new ones—and join us for three hours of social open play! Players should know how to play American Mahjong and bring a current NMJL card. Tile sets will be available, but guests are also welcome to bring their favorite set.
